Lone Star Transportation, LLC transports freight in 48 states, Canada and Mexico. A specialized heavy haul carrier for multiple key markets, the company is known for its open-deck expertise, especially in hauling high-value oversized and extreme over-dimensional loads. Its LST Logistics and Group One divisions also run dry van routes, hauling general commodities, building materials and construction equipment in 48 states and regionally in the Midwest and Texas.

Over the years, the company’s drivers and driver support teams developed unrivaled specialized transportation and logistic expertise. They’ve earned a reputation for delivering shipments safely and on time, regardless of size, origin or destination.
History
Lone Star was founded in 1988 as a small oilfield carrier based in Abilene, Texas. In 2014, Lone Star merged with Daseke, Inc. to help create North America’s largest open deck specialized trucking company. Ultimately, Lone Star expanded its capabilities by merging with several Daseke sister companies, including The Schilli Companies and The Steelman Companies.
Today, the company is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. It has 20 facilities — offices, terminals, 24-hour driver facilities and warehouse/ distribution centers — strategically located throughout Texas, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
