Plan for Your Future

After six months as a Lone Star company driver, you’re eligible to participate in our 401(k) retirement plan. Grow your nest egg by investing money you’d otherwise spend on income taxes.

Even better, we boost your retirement savings with generous matching contributions.

1.    We match 100% of your 401(k) contributions, up to 3% of your annual pay. (In other words, we help you double the amount you’re setting aside for retirement.)

2.    Take advantage of our second match to save even more. If you contribute MORE than 3% of your pay, we kick in $0.50 for every $1.00 over 3% that you add. We’ll continue to match you at that rate until you’ve deposited 5% of your pay.

3.    Contribute 5% of your annual pay to receive our maximum match: 4% of your earnings.

We pay and invest matching contributions every week, and each is fully vested. (In other words, if you ever leave, then you can take ALL the money in your 401(k) account with you.)

Share the Adventure of Our Flatbed Driver Jobs

We understand OTR flatbed driver jobs can be lonely. There certainly are times you’d like to share the adventures of the open road with a friend or family member.

For that reason, we let a passenger join you at NO COST.

Passengers must be age 18 or over, though children age 12 and over may ride during the summer months.

Transportation, meals, a private room, the company of your significant other & $1,500 for a 5-day orientation!

Are you a safe driver with at least one year of OTR or regional CDL-A experience who wants to make more money?

Are you interested in high-paying flatbed driver jobs?

Then you’re a prime candidate for our open deck training and orientation programs – even if you currently lack flatbed driver job experience.

We pay $1,500 for completing our 5-day orientation and, if you’re new to open deck, $150 a day for completing flatbed/ securement training.

We pay for your choice of a plane ticket or rental car so you can travel to our training center in Gainesville, Texas. There, you’ll stay in a private room at Lone Star’s on-site lodging facility, enjoying Wi-Fi, a private bathroom and daily maid service. Your significant other also is welcome to join you. We take care of all your daily meal costs, too. After all, you’re our guests!

As soon as you complete orientation and training, you’re assigned a tractor and a trailer. Make more money – and enter our career advancement program – right away.

If you currently have 1 year of OTR experience — even with little or no flatbed experience — you’ll be particularly interested in our career advancement program.

At Lone Star, we pay you to take on the challenging flatbed company driving jobs that pay the most. Just let us know that you’d like to haul bigger, higher-paying loads. To begin with, pull over-dimensional loads. In time, move up to super heavy haul.

Follow the path to level 5 if that’s your goal. In fact, we can provide all the freight and equipment experience you want.
